Jun 22 Contest at Practice Contest Online

mathleague.org is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a middle school math contest on Monday Jun 22, 2020 for students in grades 6 through 8. Written testing will consist of Sprint, Target, and Team rounds, and some subset of students will be selected to participate in an interactive Countdown round. The contest will be held online, and the cost will be $15 per student. Please note that this contest is a practice contest only and is NOT a qualifier for any subsequent contests; however, the top 20% of students in each grade (based on the individual score total) will be awarded prizes, and all participants will receive a PDF of the test after the contest is over. The approximate schedule will be as follows (please pay careful attention to the times in case they have changed from what was originally announced); note that the times are EASTERN TIME, so be sure to calculate what the times will be in your own time zone:
  • 04:00 PM Online meeting room opens; please log in early in case you need to troubleshoot any tech issues
  • 04:30 PM to 07:00 PM Testing
  • 07:00 PM to 07:30 PM Countdown round
Please note that only students who have prepaid online may attend this contest. Each participant must have a designated adult chaperone who will be physically present at the same location as the student to facilitate the student's participation in the contest, proctor the student during the tests, submit student answers immediately after each test is completed, and help grade tests if needed. If multiple students are present in the same location, they may share a chaperone as long as that chaperone can fulfill the duties required on behalf of all students in their care.
