The AfterMath

Do you have questions ... about the questions?

Maybe you attended one of our contests recently and still can't figure out how to do some of the problems. Or perhaps you missed out on the contest but would still like to see some math problems worked out with clever solutions. The AfterMath is a one-hour workshop where we go over problems from a recent mathleague.org test set. Students who register early enough will be given an opportunity to request problems; while we cannot guarantee that we will get to every requested problem, priority will be given to requested problems that are likely to be of interest to a large number of students.

All AfterMath workshops will be held in our online classroom. Participants will be emailed a link to access the classroom about an hour before the workshop starts. All workshops will be recorded so that students who couldn't attend the workshop can watch the video after the workshop is completed. In addition, registered students will receive an electronic copy of the test release being reviewed, in some cases months before those tests are made available for sale to the general public!

Our current list of AfterMath workshops is below; be sure to sign up early because space is limited! Click on the "REGISTER" button to register for the workshop. Remember to check back frequently to see what additional workshops we add to this list.

If you would like to see what The AfterMath looks like before signing up, check out our sample video. If you wish to purchase recordings of The AfterMath sessions from previous school years you can purchase those from our online store. The AfterMath registrations are nonrefundable after delivery of the corresponding PDF file. If you wish to request a refund prior to distribution of the PDF file, please contact us and we can process your refund minus a 10% processing fee.

About the Instructors

Jin Greene - Jin is currently studying Pure Mathematics and Biology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Next semester, he will work as a Supplementary Instructor for Physics II electricity and magnetism at UMass Amherst. He has competed in the AMC 8, 10, and 12 along with AIME and HMMT. At mathleague.org, he is a private tutor and works on the curriculum team for mathleague.org competitions. He focuses on helping students build a solid foundation by taking time to explain why things work instead of rushing through equations and concepts.

Classes may also be co-taught by other mathleague.org staff members if enrollment is large enough; we will try to keep the student/teacher ratio as low as possible while still providing excellent value for your money.
