2019 mathleague.org League Championship
May 18, University of Missouri - Kansas City

mathleague.org is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the twentieth annual league championship on May 18, 2019. Testing will consist of Power, Team, Target, Sprint, and Relay rounds. The contest will be held in Kansas City, MO, and the cost will be $15 per student if paid online by May 15 or $20 per student at the door. The approximate schedule will be as follows:
  • 8:00 Check in
  • 8:45 Power Question
  • 9:50 Team Test
  • 10:30 Target Round
  • 11:30 Sprint Round
  • 12:45 Relay Round
  • 1:30 Lunch Break
  • 2:30 Tie Breakers and Awards Ceremony
The contest will be held at the University of Missouri - Kansas City, in Royall Hall room 104. A map is available here.

Prizes will be given to the top students in each grade level, as well as to the top teams. Participants are expected to bring their own pencils and calculators. Registration for this tournament is only open to participants who qualify or are selected off the waiting list to replace qualified participants who are unable to attend; a list of qualifiers from your state can be found by going to our results page and clicking on the results from your state meet and selecting the link to view the qualifiers. Please let us know if you find any mistakes in the qualifiers list so we can correct them. To ensure a seat at the contest, qualified participants must register by May 10; after May 10 participants will be invited from the waiting list to replace qualified participants who have not yet registered. To join the waiting list, please send an email to customercare@mathleague.org indicating which students from your school would like to attend the contest if space is available.

The Qualifiers for the League Championship are based on the results of the State Contests in Division A:

  • Top 5 overall schools (all students competing at state up to 18 - schools that had more than 18 students compete at state should contact us for further clarification)
  • Top 10 students (as measured by combined Target and Sprint round scores) from each grade level designation (8th or below, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th)

Every school that registers for the contest must be accompanied by one or more adult sponsors who are willing to help proctor or grade tests (one sponsor should be designated on the registration form). Please note that only students who attend schools that are paid mathleague.org members for this school year are eligible to compete at the championship meet. You can check on your school's membership status and purchase a membership if necessary here.
